The Glastonbury Fire Department serves the Town of Glastonbury, Connecticut. Glastonbury's volunteer firefighters respond to a town of 30,000 immediately southeast of Hartford, on the east bank of the Connecticut River. While mostly residential, Glastonbury Center is heavily built-up with commercial plazas, mostly on and near Main Street. GFD also responds to Route 2, which is the main route between Hartford and southeastern Connecticut.
